Airtight Bucket - 3 Liter - Space Saving

This rectangular bucket is specially designed for the safe storage of food and other products.
Thanks to the airtight seal, the contents stay fresh longer, protected from moisture and oxygen. Because the bucket is rectangular, in contrast to round buckets, a lot of space can be saved .

Explanation of reference table

Based on the above reference table, an estimate can be made of the desired capacity of a bucket per product. The table does not take into account additives and uniformity in the bucket in the case of the use of ironing bags, oxygen absorbers and/or moisture absorbers.

Oxygen absorbers

• Prevent oxidation and spoilage. They are used for products with low moisture content (<10%) such as rice, beans and flour, but not for sugar or salt.
• When oxygen absorbers are used in humid environments, anaerobic (oxygen-free) bacterial growth may occur, such as Clostridium botulinum, which can cause botulism .
  
• Products with a high fat content can become rancid if the oxygen absorber does not work properly.
• Oxygen absorbers eliminate oxygen but do not provide protection against other spoilage organisms such as mold or bacteria if spores are already present.

Moisture absorbers (silica gel)
Recommended for hygroscopic (moisture absorbing) products such as flour, milk powder and dried fruit to prevent mold and clumping.

NB!

• To prevent botulism, do not use oxygen absorbers on moist products or in moist environments.
• Sugar and salt should never be stored with oxygen absorbers as this will cause hardening.
