This paracord 550 Type III meets the quality requirements of the US government. These requirements are laid down in so-called military specifications (Mil-Spec) of the US Army under the name MIL-C-5040H .

This 7-core paracord has a certified minimum breaking strength of no less than 250 kilograms .
Additionally, the internal cores can be used as kindling to easily start a fire or serve as fishing line.
